Dr. rer. nat. Monika Prünster

The Prünster lab investigates leukocyte trafficking during innate immune responses. Neutrophil recruitment from postcapillary venules to sites of inflammation is a highly dynamic process, regulated by a cascade of adhesion and activation events and characterized by the interaction of receptors on neutrophils with their cognate ligands on the endothelium. Our current work aims to uncover the role of alarmins during inflammation with a special focus on their function on neutrophil activation and migration.
